Photographing wedding in Arizona was always on my bucket list, so when Lindsay and Nathan contacted me, I was so thrilled and booked my ticket to Phoenix the second we signed the contract.
It was everything I imagined and more. The mountains, rocks, cactuses, saguaros, sunsets, even dirt – its nothing like North West Indiana, where I live, not even close. I secretly hoped to see a snake 🙂 The beauty of nature in Arizona is out of this world.
When I fly for “2-3hour” elopements, it is NEVER 3 hours :). I get so excited about new locations, that I want to take as many pictures as possible. Since I am there just for my couple, I don’t really count my time, or look at the watch to see when the time is up. I like to go early, to meet them, get to know my bride and groom, hang out, take some getting ready pictures for fun (who doesn’t like extra pictures right?), so when its “GO TIME”, it is no longer uncomfortable or weird for the couple to be around the stranger and they can relax more and be themselves. But enough about me and about my amazing, outgoing personality, and that I am fun to be around 🙂
Here are some pictures from L+N big day.
VENDORS:
Wedding Officiant – Amy
Hair and Make up – Lexi Merrill
I showed up early at Lindsay’s and Nathan’s Airbnb house in Mesa, that they rented for the weekend, not too far from Lost Dutchman State park. We hung out, got to know each other, I just couldn’t wait to take pictures. I got to meet not only them, but also their closest family members and friends, that came to celebrate their love.
Lindsay and Nathan decided to read their vows in private, before the ceremony.
Ceremony was very intimate and only with the closest family members and friends. Wedding Officiant Amy, was NEVER in the pictures, she was close enough for the newlyweds to hear her talk, but never next to them. Amy wanted Lindsay and Nathan to be the center of attention with this wonderful view of superstition mountains behind them, and not her.
And now its my favorite time of the day – SUNSET! I just love golden hour and taking candid and posed pictures of my newlyweds.
