Some couples choose grand wedding celebrations, while others prefer something smaller, more personal, and just as meaningful. This intimate Chicago elopement began with a simple ceremony at Chicago City Hall before the couple stepped outside to celebrate in the heart of downtown.
With the energy of the city surrounding them, we explored some of Chicago’s most iconic streets and architecture for their wedding portraits.
Chicago City Hall is a popular choice for couples planning a courthouse wedding or intimate elopement. The historic building sits right in the center of downtown Chicago, making it easy to step outside and immediately find beautiful locations for portraits.
After their ceremony, we began capturing their first moments as newlyweds just steps away from City Hall.

One of the most iconic photo locations in downtown Chicago is LaSalle Street, framed by towering architecture and the famous Chicago Board of Trade Building at the end of the street.
With the quiet morning streets and dramatic city perspective, this location created the perfect cinematic backdrop for romantic portraits of the couple walking, laughing, and celebrating their wedding day.

From LaSalle Street we continued toward the Chicago River for more portraits near the historic Wrigley Building and Michigan Avenue bridge. The views of the river and skyline add a timeless Chicago feel to wedding photos, blending elegant architecture with the energy of the city.
The bride wore a modern short wedding dress paired with classic heels and soft romantic curls, creating a stylish and contemporary look that fit perfectly with the downtown setting.

Chicago offers an incredible variety of locations for couples planning an elopement or courthouse wedding. Within just a few blocks you can find historic architecture, river views, iconic bridges, and dramatic city streets that create unforgettable wedding portraits.
